Luc Rens
- Studies: Civil Engineer at the Polytechnic Division of the Royal Military Academy in Brussels (1986)
- 1987 – 2001: several positions within the Engineers and Infrastructure Department of the Belgian Ministry of Defence.
- Since 2001: working for Federation of the Belgian Cement Industry (FEBELCEM) as an engineering consultant in civil engineering and concrete pavements.
- Since 2009: Managing Director of the European Concrete Paving Association (EUPAVE)
Expert in concrete pavements and all other applications of cement and concrete in road construction.
Member of the Technical Committee “Environment Considerations in Road Projects and Operations” of the World Road Organisation PIARC, member of working groups within the European Union Road Federation (ERF), board member of the International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP), member of CEN TC227 WG3 “Concrete Pavements” and active in several working groups and road associations in Belgium.
Author of numerous technical publications in the field of concrete pavements.
