Honorary Member since 2001

With a career spanning from 1960 to 2002, Charles F. Scholer was a Purdue University academic who contributed significantly to civil engineering, focusing on concrete and pavement technology. He developed a road maintenance management information system for Indiana municipalities and served as the director of the state’s LTAP program from 1981 to 1989. As co-chair of the first six International Conferences on Concrete Pavements (ICCPs), he played a key role in advancing the field. An ACI Fellow and active member of ASTM and TRB, he also chaired or contributed to several ACI committees, including those on durability, aggregates, and controlled low-strength materials.
