PFDM 2025: The 3rd International Symposium on Pavement Functional Design and Management will take place in Delft, Netherlands, from July 2-4, 2025. Following the success of previous PFDM symposia, PFDM 2025 aims to bring together academics, researchers, and industry professionals from across the globe in the fields of pavement engineering. The symposium will provide a platform to discuss recent advancements, share innovations, and explore future challenges in these domains. The symposium will bring experts together to discuss global challenges and the demand for innovative and sustainable solutions in pavement engineering.
The Symposium now invites papers (a 4-page manuscript via the symposium website). Manuscripts do not require a specific format at this stage but should clearly outline the objectives and main findings of the paper in concise English (font type: Times New Roman, font size: at least 10). Accepted Manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process before being scheduled for presentation and publication in the symposium proceedings. Papers are invited in a variety of themes, including:
- Future challenges of pavement functional design
- Pavement surface drainage
- Pavement-vehicle interaction
- Urban heat island effect
- Extreme weather
- And others
