In a significant stride towards promoting sustainable practices in the construction sector, Concrete Europe proudly announces the addition of EUPAVE (the European Concrete Paving Association) as an Associate Member. With headquarters in Brussels, EUPAVE brings specialized knowledge and advocacy for resilient and eco-friendly transport infrastructure. This partnership underscores a collective commitment to advancing the objectives outlined in the EU Green Deal, emphasizing the crucial role of concrete in achieving sustainable development goals. EUPAVE is a partner organization of ISCP.
Luc Rens, Managing Director of EUPAVE, highlights the importance of this collaboration, stating, “Joining Concrete Europe marks a pivotal moment for EUPAVE. It allows for closer collaboration and synergy with our counterparts in the concrete industry, particularly in advocating for sustainable practices in transport infrastructure.” This alliance is poised to strengthen Concrete Europe’s position as a leading advocate for sustainable construction practices, leveraging the expertise and resources of both organizations to drive positive change across the industry.
Concrete Europe, formed in 2023, serves as an umbrella organization comprising six European associations representing the concrete sector and its value chain. With EUPAVE’s inclusion, the organization further solidifies its role in promoting concrete’s contributions to various sectors, including road safety and sustainable construction. This collaboration sets a precedent for enhanced cooperation within the industry, signaling a proactive approach towards achieving a greener and more sustainable future for Europe’s built environment.
