2021 Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards:
The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards. For 32 years, the awards program has recognized contractors, engineers, and project owners in the U.S. and Canada who completed these outstanding projects—projects that demonstrated high-quality workmanship, quality, and creativity in concrete pavement. Winning an Award for Excellence in Concrete Paving provides them with a level of prestige that can assist them in the development of future projects. The “GOLD” and “SILVER” award levels were given at the award presentation ceremony Thursday December 2nd, at the 32nd Annual Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards Banquet during the ACPA 58th Annual Meetingin Huntington Beach, California.
Projects in 15 different categories received this prestigious recognition. The Award winning 2021’s 27 winning construction projects were paved by 19 different contractors and were completed in 15 states across the country. Winners were determined by concrete pavement professionals who devoted their time and expertise to serve as judges. ACPA also expresses thanks and appreciation to 42 professionals who served as judges of the award submittals, reviewing nomination form details and scoring the projects.
Laura O’Neill Kaumo, President and CEO-ACPA said, “This year’s group of [award recipients] represents some of the most innovative projects in our industry. Congratulations to all of this year’s Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards winners on a job well done. You set a standard for all others in the industry to work towards and you represent the best we have to offer.”
