The 18th World Meeting & Exhibition of the International Road Federation (IRF) will be held November 7-10, 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai, UAE. Hosted by Governance of Dubai along with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the 18th IRF World Meeting will be set in one of the world’s iconic cities of Dubai—home to over 190 nationalities and has been rated the best in the world by World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report along with UAE’s highways.

IRF World Meetings have constituted important focal points for the sector ever since the first World Meeting was held in 1952 in Washington, D.C., USA. The 18th IRF2021 aspires to be a global summit & technology showcase uniquely relevant to a wide cross-section of road mobility stakeholders, focused on delivering solutions to the world’s pressing mobility questions. The THEME of the 18th IRP World Meeting & Exhibition is “Roads to Tomorrow: Innovative & Sustainable Solutions”.
Particular attention will be paid to emerging challenges such as readying road infrastructure to autonomous vehicles, advanced travel demand management, safety of vulnerable road users, and energy-efficient infrastructure, to name a few. With over 250 speakers from 80 countries, over 3,000 attendees include: Highway Agency & Municipal Staff; Transport Research Institutes; University Researchers and Professors; Engineering Services Professionals; Construction Contractors; Engineers & Managers; Design Consultants; Engineers & Managers; Equipment Manufacturers; Suppliers and Distributors; Public Transport / Mass Transit Operators; Traffic Technology; and ITS Consultants, Engineers.
Call for Papers—Abstracts Due March 15, 2021
The Technical and Scientific Committee of the 18th IRF World Meeting & Exhibition is pleased to invite surface transportation experts across the world to submit abstracts for evaluation. Abstracts should reflect original practical cases studies and research or innovation in technical, institutional, economic, business and policy issues that are relevant, recent and significant in these scientific tracks:

The abstract should be written in English or Arabic with a maximum of 250 words. Note:
Conference Proceedings will be published in the Springer SUCI Series
Best papers will be expended and published in a special issue of “Innovative Infrastructure Solutions”
