TRB Webinar Oct 5: “Introducing an Improved Design Procedure for Unbonded Concrete Overlays”

The Transportation Research Board (TRB)
is hosting a webinar:
Monday | October 5, 2020 | 2:00 to 3:30 pm EST

Pre-registration is required.
Once the webinar starts, you will be unable to register.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and
the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.

Unbonded concrete overlays are increasingly popular solutions for pavement rehabilitation. This webinar that will introduce the history, basic components and procedures, and a new procedure for unbonded concrete overlays placed on existing concrete or composite pavements. Presenters will introduce a new mechanistic-empirical design procedure that can account for the performance of concrete overlays. This webinar material is based on completed FHWA pooled-fund study  “Development of an Improved Design Procedure for Unbonded Concrete Overlays“. The webinar is sponsored by the TRB Standing Committee on Design and Rehabilitation of Concrete Pavements.

Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.
