The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CPTech Center)’s Executive Board of Directors provides outstanding guidance in business operations, including management and finances. The Board’s 18 members include representatives of organizations who provide substantial financial support—and Brent Burwell is one of them! Burwell identifies with heavy highway construction and maintenance as his chief professional specialties, along with project management, pavement design, and concrete materials.
The CP Tech Center Executive Board benefits from his resulting broad-based perspective on concrete usage and maintenance. For 18 years, Brent Burwell has served as Executive Director, Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter-ACPA in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA. Burwell is an Oklahoma native who brings experience in both private industry and state DOT operations. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He was Chief Estimator-Tiger Industrial Transportation Systems (heavy highway construction firm) and he served as Assistant Division Engineer for Maintenance-Oklahoma DOT for 13 years.
At the OK/AR Chapter-ACPA office, Burwell interacts primarily with heavy highway contracting firms, materials/equipment suppliers, and consulting engineers interested in the design, construction, and maintenance of quality concrete pavements for the Oklahoma and Arkansas highway, airport, and street paving markets.
