The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CPTech Center)’s Executive Board of Directors provides outstanding guidance in business operations, including management and finances. The Board’s 17 members who include representatives of organizations that provide substantial financial support—and Jerry Voigt is one of them!
Voigt has been with the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) for almost 32 years. He serves as a Director on the Executive Board of the CPTech Center, and as President of Innovative Pavement Research Foundation (IPRF). Voigt has been the President and CEO–ACPA, since 2005 (over 15 years); served as Senior Vice President-ACPA for 5 years, from January 2000 through December 2004; and as Director of Technical Services-ACPA for 11.5 years, from June 1988 through December 1999. He is a proactive appointed executive to develop and implement strategies, policies, programs, and budgetary guidelines for ACPA. He leads all areas of Association’s focus, including technical and research programs, promotion programs, communications, and government relations.
Voigt, along with the ACPA Board of Directors, develops, and directs business objectives, strategies, and programs across all ACPA functional areas. Voigt has also been instrumental in progress made by ACPA‘s Legislative Issues Committee. Voigt brings a wealth of professional expertise, broad-based industry connections, and extensive management experience to his seat on the CP Tech Center’s Executive Board of Directors.
Voigt earned his bachelor’s degree and his Masters in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois prior to joining ACPA. In addition, Voigt’s work as a professional pavement engineer and tradeassociation leader with substantial technical experience has given him substantial technical experience along with specialties in construction troubleshooting, pavement design, and pavement jointing. He is particularly interested in advancing concrete pavement applications, improving the industry market position, and ensuring that designers and contractors work together to understand their respective challenges in order to achieve the best quality projects. Voigt is a frequent speaker at US industry events and meetings of concrete professionals and he also serves as President of the Innovative Pavement Research Foundation.
