Have a question or need some advice
related to any aspect of concrete pavements?
Welcome to the ISCP
“Questions and Opinions” (“Q&O”) WEBPAGE!
Q&O is a new benefit for members of the International Society for Concrete Pavement (ISCP), along with collaborating partners Australian Society for Concrete Pavements (ASCP) and European Concrete Paving Association (EUPAVE).
This benefit consists of an on-line forum for colleagues to pose concrete-pavement-related questions, receive opinions and advice from other colleagues, then have all summaries archived on the “Q&O WEBPAGE”.
To access, send an email to iscp@iastate.edu with your question.
Designed to create an archive of information that will benefit all members of the societies, the rules of engagement are simple:
RULES:
- General questions and advice related to concrete pavements. Posted opinions and advice shall not be constituted as legal engineering design advice or opinion, and do not reflect the opinions of the forum host organizations.
- To pose a question, you must be:
• An active or honorary member of ISCP, or
• On the approved Q&O Members List provided by ASCP and EUPAVE - Access to the service will be monitored by the FORUM HOST:
The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center @ Iowa State University (CPTech Center @ ISU) and designated ISCP Board member(s). Designated monitors will screen for active membership status and review questions for relevance to concrete pavements. Persons posting questions unrelated to concrete pavements will be notified of the reasons for denial of a posting. - Once verified that you are a qualified member and have posed a relevant question, your question will be forward to everyone on the response list (i.e. society members from ISCP, EUPAVE, and ASCP, who have agreed to receive questions from this service).
- Those on the “responder list” will send responses only to the person asking the question. **The responders will NEVER hit ‘reply all’
- The requestor is expected to summarize the question(s) and opinions received (within 2 weeks), then send them to:
Thomas Burnham, Director-ISCP and Senior Road Research Engineer-Minnesota Department of Transportation, Office of Materials and Road Research: E-mail: tom.burnham@state.mn.us
Summaries will be archived and posted
on the ISCP “Q&O WEBPAGE” and
will be viewable to ALL … no login required!
