The ASCP 5th Conference hosted 152 Delegates (including 16 internationals) and 49 Presenters. Based on a post-conference survey, 95% of attendees rated it as Good or Excellent! A full report is forthcoming together with key outcomes from the post-conference Workshops on Value, Upgrades, and Roller Compacted Concrete.

Inaugural “Ed Haber Award for Excellence”

The inaugural “Ed Haber Award” was presented to Bruce Perry for his paper “Features, benefits and challenges of air entrained pavement concrete mixes using fly ash“. The “Ed Haber Award” is awarded to the conference paper “which makes the best contribution to knowledge and advancement of pavement concrete technology that makes the best contribution to knowledge and advancement of concrete pavement practice”. Originally, it was anticipated that Perry be presented with this inaugural award at the 5th Conference by Esther Haber, but the award was ultimately formally presented at ASCP Brisbane Forum in mid-October.

New ‘International Discussion Group’

Join the International Discussion on Concrete Pavements! ASCP has joined with international partners, ISCP and EUPAVE, to offer its members free access to an INTERNATIONAL DISCUSSION SYSTEM conducted using email known as “ListServ”.
