EUPAVE Christmas Dinner Debate 2018 Perspectives & Expectations for the Coming Years!

The European Concrete Paving Association (EUPAVE) celebrated its traditional Christmas Dinner Debate on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at La Belle Maraîchère, Ste Catherine Place in Brussels, Belgium.

The THEME of the dinner this year was
“What are the perspectives and expectations for EUPAVE in the coming years”.
Only Partners and Members of EUPAVE were invited to debate on the question.

Elise Carabedian, Communications and Office Manager-EUPAVE began this year’s event with a brief overview of 2018

• André Burger, Cement&Beton Centrum and EUPAVE’s Vice-President since 2013, left his seat and Mr. Rory Keogh, Gomaco took over the position.

EUPAVE gained new members and partners (please see online)

• Besides increasing its membership, EUPAVE organized 6 events including:

EUPAVE released 3 publications, 1 annual report, 1 position paper and 1 video:

Beyond drafting publications and organizing events, EUPAVE holds working group calls for its members and partners on Concrete Safety Barriers, Best Practices, and EU Advocacy.

Luc Rens, Managing Director-EUPAVE, informed the participants with a view from inside EUPAVE

Stéphane Nicoud, President-EUPAVE, presented EUPAVE’s strategic view.

Emiliano Alonso, EU Consultant-EUPAVE, gave the European angle of the Debate.

Anne Beeldens, AB-Roads gave an evaluation of 3 years of partnership with EUPAVE

Sergio Tortelli, HeidelbergCement gave his view on EUPAVE’s local network development.

A lively debate animated all dinner.
