Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) is an economic procedure used to compare competing pavement designs, over the analysis period, considering all significant costs expressed in equivalent present value dollars. For the LCCA results to be meaningful and reliable, the engineering and economic inputs must reflect the most likely expenditures for each pavement alternative. Engineering determines the initial pavement designs and the rehabilitation strategies, while the economic aspects deal with the costs of each activity and accounts for the time value of money. This webinar will cover some best practices for developing the engineering and economic inputs.
