3-day Annual “Airport Pavement Design & Construction Workshop” Held in CA., USA

The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) held its annual three-day National “Airport Pavement Design & Construction Workshop” on best practices used in the design, construction, and rehabilitation of concrete pavements used for airport applications from August 28-30, 2018. Fifty people participated in the training and tech transfer event at the Marriott Mission Valley in San Diego, California.

The Workshop was intended for owners’ representatives/engineers, contractor personnel, ACPA Members, and others in the industry with an interest in concrete pavement design, construction, and rehabilitation for airport applications. The Program featured technical presentations by subject matter experts with practical experience in the topic areas, including the use of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s P501 and UFGS 32 13 11 concrete pavement specifications. Leading the discussions were experts from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE)’s Transportation System Center, the Headquarters office of the FAA, ACPA, and companies with direct involvement in FAA and USACE projects. For a PDF of the 3-DAY AGENDA/PROGRAM, please go to: http://www.acpa.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/2018-Airport-Workshop-Agenda.pdf.
