The Australian Society for Concrete Pavements (ASCP) Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the “5th Concrete Pavements Conference” will be held from Sunday-Wednesday, July 21 to July 24, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia, and that the Call for Abstracts is now available!! All practitioners and stakeholders who are actively involved in concrete pavements are encouraged to submit an abstract by Monday October 15, 2018 for consideration in the 2019 Conference Program.
The 2019 Conference will consist of:
Sunday: Welcome Social Dinner
Monday & Tuesday: Conference Plenary & Concurrent Sessions
Wednesday: Workshop (details to be advised)
In addition to plenary session topics, there are provisions for 8 conference streams—with group presentations into specific themes. The final choice of conference themes will depend on the nature of abstracts submitted. Papers are invited to address design, construction, materials, equipment, project experiences, innovations, and research related to:
- Concrete road pavements
- Concrete airfield pavements
- Other concrete pavements: ports, heavy industrial, rail/light rail
- New developments in concrete pavement design
- Strategic pavement interventions including concrete overlays, rehabilitation, rapid repair materials, preservation and maintenance.
- Recycled materials including recycling of pavements materials, use of waste products in concrete (i.e., glass)
- Materials for concrete, including alternatives to steel reinforcement
