TOPICS:
1. Concrete Airfield Pavement Specifications:
One of ASCP’s strategic projects is to improve the technology transfer of current world practice information related to concrete pavements for airfields. This topic was featured in the 2015 and 2017 conferences and the 2017 post-conference workshop. As part of these actions, Todd Myers has been comparing USA concrete airfield pavement specifications with Australian specifications and will present on his findings.

2. RMS Specification R82:
RMS specification R82 has been revised and published. Shamim Anwar will discuss the changes made in the new revision—Ed 4 Rev 0 March 2018. University of Wollongong has been undertaking research into shrinkage behaviour of concrete pavements reinforced with geogrid. Muhammad Hadi will report on this research and the resulting reduction in drying shrinkage.

3. Concrete Road Pavement Projects—Construction & Performance Field Trials, Testing & Research:
The forum will include several presentations about concrete road pavement projects:
Neil Webb will present on the design and construction methodology of the NorthConnex tunnel pavement John Hodgkinson will revisit the Foreshore Road pavement which has now reached 40 years age
Chris Meehan will report on the performance of the Hunter Expressway project after three years
Jamie Egan will report on the detailed data analysis following the 2017 paving trials using 32 mm aggregate were carried out on the Oxley bypass project (OH2K)
James Walker will report on the results from thes testing and conclusions to be drawn from RMS- conducted maturity testing of high early strength for the M1 motorway
