The 11th International Conference on Concrete Pavements (11th ICCP) was held August 28 through September 1st at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Almost 400 registrants participated in the event—including representatives from at least 26 countries within 6 continents. The United States had 41 states represented.
The Conference included 14 Podium Sessions and 8 Poster Sessions which included more than 91 peer-reviewed technical papers, a Special Workshop on Street and Local Roads, and 11 Technical Workshop sessions. A Special Spanish Language Session was held on Monday evening. The Student Poster Session contained 26 posters. There was an FHWA Mobile Concrete Lab on-site, and there were 2 field trip/site visit options to a Cement Plant and a Steel Plant.
The highlight of the conference was the Gala Reception and Awards Banquet, held at the Knibbe Ranch, at which the award winners were announced. Please see the ISCP article on the Gala Reception and Awards Banquet.
The social activities brought everyone together in fun, eclectic, fabulous venues—including Buckhorn Saloon, The Knibbe Ranch, the Marriott Rivercenter, the San Antonio Riverwalk, and more.
