The 3rd International Conference on Best Practices for Concrete Pavements will be held parallel to the 57th Brazilian Concrete Congress and Conference, October 28-30, 2015 at the Centro de Convenções de Bonito, in the state of Mato Grosso Du Sol in Bonito, Brazil. Organized by the University of São Paulo (USP) and the Brazilian Concrete Institute (IBRACON); and partnered with the European Pavement Association (EUPAVE) and the Federal Aviation Association (FAA).
Held every four years, the 3rd Conference has become one of the most important international events dedicated to the discussion and new technology exchange on concrete pavements, with key speakers from South America, North America, and Europe. Attendees will include public and private international road agencies; industry professional consultants, construction engineers, entrepreneurs, suppliers, designers, architects, developers, investors; professors, students, technicians, researchers; and all concerned with concrete pavements who want to learn more, participate in discussions, and get updated on concrete technology and its constructive systems.
The 3rd Conference theme is “Challenges for the Future of Sustainable Construction of Concrete Pavement Construction”, focusing on the future of sustainable construction of concrete pavements with particular interest given to:
- Concrete pavement recycling techniques
- Concrete pavement durability
- Pervious concrete pavements: materials, drainage characteristics and structural issue
- CO2 capture techniques on concrete mixtures for urban paving
- Reflective pavements and impacts on urban lightening energy consumption
- Increasing urban albedos
- Reduction of vehicular gas emissions in concrete pavements
- Noise reduction with open-graded and texturized concrete technique
- Controversial aspects and issues on concrete pavements using steel and synthetic
fibers - Applications of sustainable concrete pavements to heavy floors as industrial, harbor and
airports
EXHIBITORS:
The 57th Brazilian Forum on concrete technology and its constructive systems, aims to disseminate scientific and technological researches into concrete and concrete structures, in terms of products and processes, building practices, technical standardization, structural analysis and design, and sustainability.
Researchers from universities, research institutes, and professionals from companies in the construction sector will present their technical and scientific works on the following themes:
- Management and standardization
- Materials and properties
- Structural designs and analyses
- Construction methods
- Structural analysis
- Specific materials and products
- Specific construction systems
- Sustainability
Organizations, governmental agencies and entities in the construction sector interested in participating in the event may opt for the different sponsoring, support and exhibition alternatives may exhibit their products and services at the XI Brazilian Fair of Concrete Constructions–Feibracon, and the presentation of novelties in the Seminar on New Technologies.
