Like the first, this second 100% virtual version, will offer the best knowledge and update experience on cement, concrete and precast construction in the region and can be enjoyed from anywhere with internet access. This will be the 3rd UNIVERSITY IBERO-AMERICAN CONTEST OF THE UNICRETO III CONCRETE—the aim being promoting the interest of students of careers related to the construction sector, in the knowledge of concrete as a material in its different uses, in this case, in pavements.
Teams of 2 students will be given information on:
• Basic concrete pavement technology
• Selected design method to carry out the analyses
• Submission of the data to compete
The data each team will provide are:
- Thickness of the concrete slab in cm, with two decimal places.
- Geometry of the slab:
- Length of the concrete slab in cm
- Width of the concrete slab in cm
- Slenderness factor (L / A)
- Load transfer:
- Bar diameter in mm
- Length of the transfer bar in cm.
- Distance between bars in cm.
